"Bedford Falls" in It's a Wonderful Life was filmed on the old RKO backlot, sold for suburban development in 1954. In 1955 Encino Village went up, as shown. 

And just a few blocks away, on Ventura Boulevard, the self-proclaimed "Miracle Mile" of the Valley. 


Why, it's as if George Bailey had never been born after all. Where is Clarence to help us now, in this "City of Angels"? Is it true that every time you hear a car honk, an angel is getting his wings?
