PrairieMod readers Paul R. and Linda E. were kind enough to provide a little more background info about the pro-bono bridge design that Frank Lloyd Wright proposed for the Wisconsin River at the Dells. Made of reinforced concrete, the twin arches of the bridge were intended to rise above the water, evoking the graceful butterfly wings that it was named after. Though never built, Wright tried to pitch the same design to San Francisco—but only...
