We recently heard from Shawn Mayes, son of architect Don Erickson client, Jack Mayes. Shawn writes: "These are just some digital pictures I took of the original photographs (sorry, no scanner) of our family's home back in the late 1950's/early '60's. The dining room table shown is the initial one,
before my Dad built the custom shaped one he discussed in the interview. The large fireplaces and the radiant heating through the terrazzo floors were both really welcome comforts when returning home
in the wintertime!

I too bemoan the fact that it was torn down, I'd love to be able to have returned to visit it now some 50 years later! Thanks for preserving its memory and the fine work of my parents. (While Dad mentioned breifly that they saved on costs by building it themselves, he modestly didn't point out that this was taken to the extreme that no one other than he and my Mother were allowed to 'touch' a single brick, board or nail! (or so go the stories I was told anyway!)"
