Curbed Detroit reports that if you're in the market for Mies Van Der Rohe-designed architecture and don't mind a fixer-upper, then you might want to consider bidding on the foreclosed Lafayette Towers (and their 584 apartments) on July 18, 2012. Buyer beware, though: The "winner" will be responsible for over $10 million in HUD-required repairs that must be completed within 18 months of purchase. Gulp! Rad more about it here.
