Cape Cod-based architect Sheila Narusawa recently remodeled a family house in Orleans, Massachusetts (to read the full account, go to Design Skool ). We especially admire the upstairs bath, which features a vintage bath sourced from Old House Parts in Kennebunk, Maine, and custom built shelving by Jonathan Blake (508-457-1540) of Falmouth-based Hampton & Blake. To achieve a similar understated New England look, consider the following elements: Above: Photo by Justine Hand for Design Skool . Above L to R: Walls are painted Benjamin Moore Linen White ; floors are Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray from the Historic Color collection. Above: The Birmingham black and white striped Dash & Albert rug is $95. Above: The antiqued Brass Double Hook , made in England, from Whitechapel Hardware is $22.06. Above: White enamel jugs can be found on eBay or Etsy. Above: Highly rated Turkish towels from Macy's Hotel Collection are available in pale gray pearl; prices start at $12.99 for a washcloth. Above: Earth Therapeutics Natural Sponge ; $5.99 at Bed Bath & Beyond.
