As stated in the Save CR Heritage email:

"Many of you have offered to chain yourself to the building and we may be nearing that need. Last Friday, Zinser pulled the demolition permit for 840 3rd Avenue SE. Such a permit expires after 30 days, which means the commencement of demolition is imminent.

While representatives from Save CR Heritage and City Council have met with St. Luke's leadership to find an alternative to this treasure's destruction as recently as Friday morning, Ted Townsend appears to be moving forward with his plans for 40 surface parking spots. We have offered simple adjustments to the parking lay-out that would replace those spots occupied by the Church as well as a pro-forma for adaptive re-use, but these solutions are falling on deaf ears.

"The Funeral March" will resume tomorrow and we need a great show of force. The community needs to know what they are about to lose and the medical district leadership needs to be reminded whose community this is.  The March will resume tomorrow and run Monday through Friday until further notice."
