Researchers at Freedom of Creation have been working on the sustainability of 3D printing; success in the development of this technology will take our method of transportation of the future to the next level. Having been experimenting with different types of woods for 3D printing to make sure everyone is able to practice this anywhere in the world as long as there are trees available. Researchers have been using fine sawdust as the cheapest and most ecological base material. The binders used in the process causes the results to come out in a darker finish, but it is still being tested to work with lighter woods such as Balsa.
