Robie House in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood. More after the jump...

Home to the greatest concentration of Wright buildings in the world, Oak Park is where Wright established his legacy as a visionary architect. The Home and Studio, the architect’s creative laboratory, is where Wright designed more than 150 buildings, including his Prairie-style masterpiece, the Frederick C. Robie House.

After visiting Oak Park, the bus will travel along scenic Lake Shore Drive for a tour of the iconic Robie House. Completed in 1910, the residence is the consummate expression of Wright’s Prairie style and a precursor of modernism in architecture.

The tours will take place 12:30 to 5:45 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 3 and Nov. 21, departing from the Chicago Cultural Center’s Lobby, 78 E. Washington St., Chicago. Cost is $60 and $45 for Frank Lloyd Wright Trust members. For more information, visit flwright.org.
