Marina City Meets American Gothic

The band Wilco has had a long love affair with Bertrand Goldberg's Marina City towers (they appeared on the cover of the band's hit record, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot in 2002). Perhaps that was the inspiration for artist Nate Duval to mash-up the architectural corncobs with another Chicago-based icon, American Gothic, but Grant Wood (which hangs at the Art Institute of Chicago) for a recent Wilco and the Jim Becker Group show poster.
