Old form meets new material in the light-hearted line of bath accessories by American industrial designer Josh Owen for Kontexture. Based on the classic shape of the bathroom plunger, the new WC Line includes a waste bin, toilet brush, and plunger. The pieces are made of colored silicone (which lasts longer than rubber) with wooden handles sourced locally to their production location. They are washable and made to last. Above: Kontexture's WC Line includes (left to right) a waste basket with a lid, a plunger with a holder, and a toilet brush. Above: Made of Silicone in a choice of five colors - matte black, porcelain white, Ferrari red, Yves Klein blue, and Dutch orange (shown), the WC Line Set (Waste Basket, Plunger, Brush) is $121.50 through Kontexture. Above: The pieces are also available individually. The Kontexture Silicone Waste Bin in matte black, red or white is $45 at Speranza. Above: The Kontexture Silicone Plunger (L) and the Kontexture Silicone Toilet Brush (R) are available for $49 and $45 respectively in white, red or matte black. Above: The corresponding Josh Owen-designed Kontexture Tissue Box Cover is available for $34.
