In 9 out of 10 houses we design, home owners request ceiling fans to be installed. While practicality is of utmost importance, ceiling fans rarely win any style points. It comes to a point where having a fan up there is tragic to some people, especially when the original interior design emphasizes 'contemporary living and clean-cut simplicity'.
We know, it's a difficult choice. But don't spin your little head into hopelessness just yet! The Mistral Ceiling Fan by Moooi is cleverly disguised as a pendant lamp, performing both lighting and cooling functions. With its reflective shade, the yellow wooden blades reflect the light and offer cooling as they spin around the central bulb. We aren't sure how cooling this little device is, but at least you don't have to sacrifice beauty for function. Best of both worlds...
