Four University of California, San Diego engineers, funded by NASA, were able to press Mars-like dirt into bricks. No other materials were necessary to keep the bricks together. Since storage will be limited on any craft carrying astronauts to Mars, these bricks could mean they could free up space and utilize the red planet's resources to construct habitations.
