As stated in the press release:

Planet Architecture, the premier producer of documentary films and interactive tours on architecture, announces the release of a new mobile app featuring Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West. This innovative app combines outstanding photography, archival drawings, historic footage, incisive text, video interviews, and virtual reality panoramas to create a completely engaging interactive experience. “What a fantastic way to be inspired by the beauty and power of Taliesin West from anywhere in the world,” says Sean Malone, CEO of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. The app is now available in the iTunes store for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

Taliesin West is Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural masterpiece built from and for the Arizona desert, where it served as his winter home, studio, and architectural laboratory from 1937 until his death in 1959. Primitive, but elegant, the desert masonry construction today seems as much an ancient ruin excavated from the surrounding environment as the twentieth-century architectural icon that it has become. A National Historic Landmark, Taliesin West still serves many of the purposes for which it was originally designed: headquarters of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, home to a residential community of artists and students, and campus for the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. Through its public tour program, Taliesin West also welcomes over 100,000 visitors each year from around the world.

App features:

• Video interview with Bruce Brooks Pfeiffer, Director of the Frank Lloyd Wright Archives

• 147 stunning new photographs

• 19 virtual reality panoramas

• 44 drawings from the Frank Lloyd Wright Archives

• Introduction to Taliesin West and brief Wright biography by Margo Stipe, Curator and Registrar of Collections, the Frank Lloyd Wright Archives

• Complete list of Wright’s works
