As stated in a recent press release:

The unveiling of signage for the new M&T Bank Visitor Pavilion at Graycliff honors M&T’s long-time support of the Graycliff Conservancy, totaling over $120,000.

The new copper colored sign, emulating the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright, is being funded by Uniland Development.

Graycliff was an key attraction for many National Conference visitors during its 5 days, making this autumn an extraordinarily successful one:

• Active participation in the national conference of the National Trust for Historic Preservation
• Acquisition of a Caretaker’s Cottage original to Graycliff
• Groundbreaking for the restoration of Graycliff’s historic landscape.

The Graycliff Conservancy is happy to crown these extraordinary accomplishments with a tangible reflection of the importance of Graycliff’s longtime partnership with M&T Bank, and a relatively new partnership with Uniland.

“Graycliff treasures its relationships with committed local companies like M&T Bank and Uniland Development,” said Graycliff Board President Patrick J. Mahoney, A.I.A., “At this time of Thanksgiving, the Graycliff Conservancy wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks by the creation of the M&T Bank Pavilion, with help from Uniland.”

M&T’s funding to Graycliff over the past 14 years included assistance with visitor services; accessibility, restoration and most vital of all, operating support.

Shelley C. Drake, President of the M&T Charitable Foundation, said, “Graycliff’s restoration began as a truly grassroots effort, which now has grown to a full-scale preservation initiative attracting visitors from across the country. We are delighted to support Graycliff’s volunteer leadership in their commitment to the preservation of this  beautiful site.”

Michael Longo, R.A. a Graycliff Board member, is responsible for the design of the new sign.  Uniland Development has graciously provided funding for the fabrication and installation.
