Somewhere between Quartz & Concrete

Pricewise, that is. Durat runs about $65+/-/SF installed. It’s been around for about 17 years & is made in Finland. Made from post-industrial plastic waste, it’s also 100% recyclable. Durat countertops

Way to close the loop, Durat! What else?

  • 15 year guarantee on the material
  • can be sanded & re buffed if it becomes scratched
  • is fabricated with standard woodworking tools
  • seamless (within reasonable area limitations)
  • 70 standard colors and they can also make custom colors!
  • not as heavy as granite or quartz – has a plywood backing
  • higher sheen than solid surface products
  • won’t stain, no sealing required

Durat - vessel sinks

You can even do an integral sink (best recommended in baths as opposed to kitchens)! I am totally spec’ing this on a near future project.
