The clock never quits. It rudely continues it’s course whether we ask it to slow down or not. Perhaps the solution against finding one too many stray grays, against projects not getting done, not having enough time to sleep, just missing the train by a second too late could possibly be to simplify, also beautify, the time keeper. Maybe then we will agree to find peace with its ceaseless forward motion.
The O’clock by David Okum and Javier Palomares of Okum Made have supplied us with a measure of nature. Their vision aims “to create meaningful objects that exemplify modern craftsmanship and purity”. The simple wooden block has carved an inward circle which expose its swirly wood grains for the hour imposing peace and tranquility every passing moment of the day. Crafted in a lovely selection of wood including American walnut, hard white maple, Douglas fir, and cork.
