Here's something scary for lovers of Modern architecture this Halloween: The Chicago Tribune reports that Mayor Rahm Emmanuel supports the destruction of the Bertram Goldberg-designed Old Prentice Women's Hospital in a recent op-ed piece. This is a truly disappointing and short-sighted decision by the Mayor (and blatant pandering to the powerful owners of the building, Northwestern University).
