At the free event, Professor Marcus will explore how Wright realized his vision by unifying all aspects of design at the Dana House in Springfield—architecture, furnishings, decorative objects, materials, and color—and reflect on the importance of considering the integrity of the complete work of art when these houses are preserved. Springfield Public Library/Lincoln Library is located at 326 South 7th Street in Springfield, IL. Underground and street parking free after 5 pm. The book is available for purchase through the Sumac Shop at the Dana-Thomas House and online at Sumac Shop.com.
