Middlesex University’s design student Kieron-Scott Woodhouse has designed and built the World’s first bamboo smartphone which will be soon launched in the UK. It is called the Adzero and is made out of four year old organic bamboo.

Woodhouse said, “Bamboo may seem like a strange material to use for a phone, but it’s actually extremely strong and very durable, perfect qualities for this kind of application.”
Originally the phone was intended for the Chinese market but it attracted a lot of interest at a show during London Design Week. “I can’t wait to see my mobile phone in shops this year,” added Woodhouse.
