Neptune Norte is a green architecture designed by brothers, Jeff Adams of Wave Crest and Steve Adams of Adams Design Associates. This sustainable house received LEED Platinum Certification, thanks to its sustainable features.

Green Architecture of Neptune Norte 1 Green Architecture of Neptune Norte in Encinitas

To achieve 108 points of LEED certification and becomes the third custom home in San Diego county that receive this certification, this sustainable design is completed with several features, including sustainable energy source. 5.9 kW of photovoltaic panels are available to provide electrical energy. It is supported also by the use of  low-e argon-filled windows,  Eco Seal air sealing, blown-in cellulose insulation, high efficiency gas furnaces, sealed ductwork, Energy Star appliances, and Lutron lighting controls to provide high energy efficiency.

This eco friendly building is also completed with vegetated green roof that may provide additional insulation. To provide water conservation, a 1,700 gallon cistern is available to store rainwater as irrigation water. Tankless water heaters are also available.

This sustainable construction uses some sustainable materials, such as Azek composite fascia and trim, Trex composite decking, and no/low-VOC paints, sealants, and adhesives. The exterior was constructed from wood materials, cladded by aluminum, providing good durability and modern touch.

This green sustainable building is claimed to use a 54% less energy than a new home built with the same class. It is completed with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two half bathrooms. Located near the beach, it is a great house to spend the time and have some fun.
