Designed by Italian architect Renato Peron, the "Casa dos Cajueiros", which belongs to the Origami Eco Residence, used bio-compatible materials, low energy production, renewable sources to minimize its ecological footprint in the climate of Brazil. Taking the Japanese practice of origami into consideration, the palm fiber roof assumes the shape of zoomorphic forms, folding and sloping its solar panels in relation to the sun’s path throughout the day.
