New (and eminently practical) at Design Within Reach: the well-priced Piana Folding Chair , designed by British architect David Chipperfield for Alessi. Made of fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene with a matte finish, the chair can be used indoors or outdoors and is available in several cheery colors as well as black and white. The three parts rotate around a single axis, with no visible hardware, and each chair folds completely flat for stacking horizontally or hanging on the Piana Wall Hook , which holds up to four chairs. Above: The Piana chairs are made in Italy. Above: The Piana Folding Chair is available in six colors (red, green, yellow, gray, black, and white) for $225. Above: Up to four chairs can be hung from the wall with the Piana Wall Hook , $68.
