Average Rating: ( 0 votes)
Liberty of London, that venerable London institution, continues to reinvent itself; case in point, the shop's latest collaboration, Liberty Rocks! For this venture, Liberty has asked artists and musicians such as Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine (she visited the fabric archives and chose her favorites) and Edwyn Collins (he sketched the birds for the Ornithology print) to participate. To see more, go to Liberty Rocks . Above: Edwyn Collins, best known for fronting Scottish rock revivalists Orange Juice, designed the Ornithology Liberty Print based on daily sketches he drew as part of his rehabilitation from a stroke. The fabric is available in Tana Lawn for £21 per meter. Above: Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine selected two of her favorite designs from the Liberty archives for this season's collection, including Grace Liberty Print , a vintage, hand-drawn lace print from the 19th century; available in Tana Lawn for £21 per meter. Above: Graham Coxon, an English singer-songwriter and painter, created the drawings that were transformed into A Boy Dreams LIberty Print by the Liberty design team; the final pattern is reminiscent of rock poster artwork of the 1960s; available in Tana Lawn for £21 per meter.
