According to a recent Curbed article, the reports of MoMA's closing of its architecture and design galleries was misconstrued and overblown. As stated in the Curbed article: Martino Stierli, the museum’s Philip Johnson Chief Curator of Architecture and Design says that assertion is "absolutely not true." Stierli says that the museum is pursuing a "both/and" strategy for the redesign, which will include both medium-dedicated galleries and comprehensive, multi-disciplinary spaces.
