A striking bank building in Durham, North Carolina has been transformed into a retro boutique hotel by LA's Commune Design. The late 60s building, which was once a Home Savings Bank, has been revamped with reference to its mid-century roots using period finishes such as raw walnut and high gloss laminate. The chic boutique hotel offers 53 guest rooms, a penthouse suite, and an open-air rooftop bar.
