Scavullo Design sent us images of their latest work 'A Gallery To Live In', a 1940’s Sea Cliff, CA home which a couple had hired the firm to update. The home owners have been living in the house for over 20 years and they had avidly assembled a varied, vast collection of paintings and sculpture. However, the conventional structure of the 1940’s house, with its compartmentalized spaces, do not work out in their pursuit of a space to showcase the collection properly.

When designing the home, Scavullo Design cleared out the interiors in order to reorganize the spaces, making the art pieces and the sweeping views the stars, with the furnishings and house itself playing supporting players. After the remodel, a clean lightness pervades while the entire house shimmers and breathes. The art shines, and the view is, very simply, spectacular.
