It's that time of year when you're probably getting a ton of letters from not-for-profit organizations asking for year-end donations. While many of those causes are worthwhile to support, I received a letter from The Friends of Cedar Rock, who oversee the stewardship of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Walter House in Quasqeton, IA, for a cause that I think is definitely worth supporting. More after the jump...

The effort to raise money to restore the Wright-designed River Pavilion on the property is within $15,000 of reaching their fund-raising goal. That's means every donation chips away at that very attainable goal. If you have a little extra cash this holiday season, consider donating it to the Friends of Cedar Rock and help restore an important work of American Architecture. Send your tax deductible donation to:

The Friends of Cedar Rock
c/o Cedar Rock State Park
2611 Quasqueton Diagonal Blvd.
Independence, Iowa 50644

Even small donations will make a big difference towards reaching this goal!
