By now everyone has heard of Steve Jobs' passing. As the memorials flood the media, Wired.com guest columnist, Dave Winer, likens Steve to Frank Lloyd Wright. Why? Jobs By now everyone has heard of Steve Jobs' passing. As the memorials flood the media, Wired.com guest columnist, Dave Winer, likens Steve to Frank Lloyd Wright. Why?

As Winer states: "To both Jobs and Wright the people who used their products were not as important as the computer or the building. More than the thing itself, what mattered to Wright, and I think what mattered to Jobs is the integrity of his vision. In a way it was a shame that the vision had to be instantiated."

Both men definitely had a monumental impact on our collective culture, so maybe the comparison is apt on several levels. Read the whole column here.
