Design Sleuth: Macrame Headboard from the Ace Hotels
Average Rating: ( 0 votes)
Macrame made modern: at the new Ace Hotel in Shoreditch, London, and the original Ace in Portland, OR, we couldn't help but notice (and admire) the fringed macrame headboards. The work of textile artist Sally England, who grew up in Michigan and studied in Portland, OR, before returning to Grand Rapids to open her macrame studio, the pieces are available by commission. "I feel an attachment to the romantic vibe of the 1960s, which might also explain how I ended up a macrame artist," she says on The Curated Life . See more of her work at Sally England .
