“The Foundation is committed to building a Board of Trustees dedicated to protecting and preserving the legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright,” said Daniel Marquardt, chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. “Along with her passion for Wright’s work, Susan’s vast amount of experience brings unique insight to the board as we lay the groundwork for the future of the Foundation.”

Throughout her career as an artist, Lockhart has remained actively involved in a number of Wright-related activities. She taught at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture from 1985 to 2002 and served as the director of the bi-annual Taliesin Day Symposium.  Lockhart was also a graphic designer for the Taliesin Architects from 1993 to 2000.

In addition to her dedication to the Foundation, Lockhart has previously served on the boards of the Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society, the Rural Musician Forum and the Taliesin Preservation Inc. Lockhart resides in Cambridge, Mass., and owns Susan Jacobs Lockhart Designs, where she showcases her work including architectural glass, steel sculpture and wood plate art.

Lockhart joins the board as the Foundation is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright’s home and studio in Spring Green, Wis.

“The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation has been an integral part of my life and I’m excited to, once again, join the board and be a part of the organization during this exciting time,” Lockhart said.
