This project used more than 80% of the existing materials to be reused. Some sustainable features were also provided, such as triple-glazed windows, sustainable energy resources from photovoltaic panels and geothermal heating which may cut 70% of the energy consumption, 3,000 gallon rainwater collection system, FSC certified and recycled wood materials, green roof, and the using of smart construction techniques.

This green architecture house consists of two parts, the main house and the garage-studio part. The studio is located above the garage, as a cantilevered studio. The space below it is an open car port. Separated from the garage by the rainwater collection cistern, the main house has Pacific Northwest’s contemporary architecture style. The openings provide natural daylighting and  maximal view access.

Materials used for the eco construction were chosen carefully. As mention above FSC and recycled wood materials were used. Concrete materials were also used for flooring. The drive way is covered by  permeable pavers.
