Pleasant Home Foundation's Lecture Series begins tonight at the Oak Park Public Library. For the next three weeks, they will feature lectures about topics related to the Prairie School. The series will feature talks on Alfonso Ianelli in Park Ridge and George Maher in Gary, Indiana. Next week, Architect and blogger, Christopher Payne, will be speaking about former Wright, Maher, Elmslie, and Gill employer, Joseph Lyman Silsbee. Payne will talk about Silsbee's work from the time of the World's Columbian Exposition through to the turn of the last century, focusing on a group of structures in Polo, Illinois.
