Riverview Holiday Housewalk

Riverview Historic District in Kankakee will hold its 28th annual Holiday Housewalk on Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, Riverview sits on the banks of the Kankakee River and boasts a rich architectural heritage of houses dating from 1880 to the present. This year the Holiday Housewalk will feature five private homes, plus the B. Harley Bradley House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1900 and now open to the public. In addition, visitors may tour St. Patrick's Catholic Church, a Romanesque limestone church dating to 1892 located just north of the historic district.

Advance tickets are $15. Tickets purchased the day of the walk are $18. The ticket price includes admission to all seven sites. Tickets can be purchased online or at local retailers listed on the website. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event at the Kankakee Trolley Barn, 197 S. East Ave., Kankakee.
