Explore Racine, WI's Wright and some of its unique Organic Mid-Century Modern treasures on the upcoming Frank Lloyd Wright Wisconsin's Wright & Like 2016 house walk. The eleven site architectural adventure through sixty years of Organic Architecture begins in 1905 with the Thomas P. Hardy House by Frank Lloyd Wright and wraps up in 1965 with The Prairie School, designed by Wright's apprentice Charles Montooth and Taliesin Architects. More info after the jump... Additional tour sites are:
• The Hamilton House by Edgar Tafel
• The Thomas House by Hans Geyer
• The Erickson House and Postorino House by John Randal McDonald
• North Bay Village Hall by James Dresser
• Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church by Helmut Ajango (last tour begins at 3:30)
• Wingspread by Frank Lloyd Wright
• And the SC Johnson Administration Building and Research Tower by Frank Lloyd Wright. (Tours here last 1.5 hours and last tour begins at 3:30).
 
Advance tickets are $60 for members of Frank Lloyd Wright Wisconsin and $70 for non-members. Order on-line at  www.wrightinwisconsin.org or by phone at 608-287-0339. Tickets ordered before May 22 are mailed to guests with a driving map. Orders after that date must be picked up June 4 beginning at 8 a.m. at The Prairie School, 4050 Lighthouse Drive, Racine. Tickets will also be for sale that morning priced at $70 for Frank Lloyd Wright Wisconsin members and $80 for non-members. While at The Prairie School see displays of over 20 scale models of Wright designed buildings by master model maker, Ron Olsen, and shop a variety of vendors with special Wright-related merchandise.
 
Tour sites are open from 9 am - 5 pm (except where noted). Each location will have tour guides standing by to provide informative interior tours.
 
Special events are also taking place on Friday evening June 3 and Sunday June 4. Follow the link for additional details regarding those events.
 
All proceeds benefit Frank Lloyd Wright Wisconsin, a nonprofit preservation and educational organization working to promote, protect and preserve the work of Frank Lloyd Wright in his home state of Wisconsin.
