After Hours This October At Robie House

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Frederick C. Robie House in Chicago will open its doors on Friday nights in October for guests to see Wright’s Prairie-style masterpiece in a different light. After Hours is a chance to explore Wright’s 1910 Prairie-style masterpiece, including the balcony with its geometric leaded glass doors, the private third-floor bedrooms and the innovative open living room space. Robie House is usually available only for guided tours and private events. Pianist Ryan Brewster will perform pop and jazz standards. Beer, white wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

October After Hours will take place Fridays, 5-8 pm, Oct. 2, 9, 26, 23 and 30 at the Frederick C. Robie House, 5757 S. Woodlawn Ave., in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood. Admission is $30 for Trust members and $35 for non-members. For more information, visit here.
