The Beach Box is sustainable architecture building house created by Andrew Anderson. Actually he utilized shipping containers to built the house. This home is believed to be the first shipping container house in the Hamptons, located in the dunes of Amagansett, New York, off Montauk Highway.
This green building product is formed from six shipping container. 4 containers are located on the ground level, functioned as four bedrooms, while the two containers are set at the top level, cover the open kitchen, living room, and dining room. There is a 1,300 sq ft of exterior deck space also at the top level.
The sustainable design of the house also involves some sustainable features, such as EcoTop counters, a 16 SEER HVAC unit, tankless water heating system, white thermoplastic roof that will reflect the sun light to prevent solar heat, Energy Star appliances, FSC-certified cypress siding and decking and white oak floors, also insulations, and energy-efficient windows with low-E glazing. They may provide high sustainability for the house.
Fiber cement materials are used to clad the exterior of this sustainable green house. This house also has a pool and open shower room for pleasure. This house is sold on the price of USD 1,395,000.
