The natural elements of light, wind, water, and shadow engage in a congruous dialogue with ‘Cocage.’ The design stands tall in Kochi-shi, Kochi Japan protruding the exemplary design of Japanese architecture practice Suppose Design Office.

The structure appears to rise off of the ground with its bold and graphic triangular volume. A level of transparency from particular vantage points is placed as a system of parallel louvers line the angled facades.

A low lying pond creates a splash of nature as it lays adjacent to the structure and is utilized to cool down the micro-climate. An H shaped interior with two outdoor terraces at both ends of the rectangular plane make up an excellent living room, kitchen, and dining room. Well-suited levels of privacy are created from the intuitive arrangement from the service programs, two bedrooms, and tatami room that run along the side of the home.
