It was a near-unanimous decision with only one "no" vote. By his count, there were 26 in-person registrations and four email communications which made for an impressive show of support when the chair read the names into the record. The final step for the report is to go before the Common Council on February 25, 2014 (tentative). If accepted there, the policy recommendations will become part of the city's official planning document as a special area report. Any specific proposals for the Lamp House block that emerge in the future will go through regular city processes with this report being one of the filters through which they will be evaluated. A similar show of support before the Common Council being planned.
