In an effort to reduce its transportation footprint Norway has announced plans to build a network of bicycle highways around its nine largest cities, costing the country about $923 million. While the idea has potential, there are many who question how practical the solution actually is. The “super cycleways,” as they are called in Norwegian, will be a collection of ten two-lane highways which will allow cyclists to travel safely in and out of large cities, including connections...
