Frank Lloyd Wright. No other architect in the world seems to stir up so many strong emotions--people seem to either adore him or despise him. Case in point: This recent review of the Phoenix Art Museum exhibit Frank Lloyd Wright: Organic Architecture for the 21st Century is a scathing one. However, the writer seems more interested in focusing her diatribe against all things Wright by focusing on the same tired cliches (bad with money, infidelities,...

However, the writer seems more interested in focusing her diatribe against all things Wright by focusing on the same tired cliches (bad with money, infidelities, low ceilings, leaky roofs...) than really trying to understand the complex nature of Wright the person and the architect--and how those things are integrally connected. It's okay to not like Wright--just try to articulate it in a way that isn't so one-dimensionally churlish. Read the review here.
