Fancy a cup of tea? Method Studio’s tea chest delivers the tea and the fancy. The chest itself is handcrafted from Scottish oak, upholstered with Scottish leather, and fastened by solid brass hinges and straps from English bridles. The dotted pattern of the diamond-tooled leather echoes the weave of high-end department store Fortnum & Mason’s classic wicker hamper. Inside, the chest holds a tea blending bowl by Giles Jones, two loose-leaf tea caddies from F&M’s Louis Philippe collection, and a sterling silver spoon that is hidden in the bowl rest. Don’t mind if I do. Designed for Fortnum & Mason’s “Mad for Tea” exhibition, the tea chest may be ordered from F&M’s Piccadilly store in London.
