Surprising new green-roofed community center in Paris meets stringent Passivhaus standards

The community center is located at the foot of a windowless  gable of a partially preserved building. It aims to reintroduce the human scale to the area and the neighboring buildings. It expands from the ground floor up to the first floor and features a green roof that slopes to the side. The raw wood cladding clashes with the typical appearance of the buildings in the district, while the large bay windows communicate the generosity of the indoor spaces.
