This eco construction was designed as a weekend retreat house with country-house design. It should be low maintenance, durable, eco friendly, and also good in budgeting. This home should be ready to be used as a main residence by the owners. A cottage was detached as space for guest, such as their parents or others who want to rent it. Good access to the beautiful environment are considered also by providing a private deck on the second floor. Security aspects are also important to be considered, especially when this sustainable architecture building is not used for a long time.

To provide green architecture design to this house, some sustainable features were also provided. Some sustainable materials were used, such as sustainable harvest lumber, ICF materials, aluminum cladding for the exterior. All of these materials may provide good durability for this house. This house also has very tight insulated envelope to minimize energy losses. This also supported by the using of low-e windows.

For heating the water, this sustainable home uses on demand heaters, so inefficient and ineffective energy uses can be minimize. Radiant heating and cooling system in the floor is also applied. To provide good fresh air circulation, energy heat recovery system is used. Natural daylight are provided by the openings, thanks to the strategic position of windows, doors, eaves, to maximize solar gain and also views. To maximize the energy efficiency, LED lighting and high energy efficiency appliances are used.
