This week, the international team that invented the world’s tiniest machines won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Three scientists will share the prize in an even split: Jean-Pierre Sauvage (France), Sir Fraser Stoddart (Great Britain), and Bernard “Ben” Feringa (Netherlands).
