The first concern is word that there has been an inquiry by a possible purchaser into obtaining a demolition permit for the 1928 Irving House at 1318-20 Isabella St. in Wilmette, IL. The home is under no landmark protection.

The second concern is news that the bank has foreclosed on the Chicago Junior School in Elgin, IL and they will fence-off the property this week and put it up for sale (raising the very real possibility the site will be demolished.)

We'll keep readers informed as to developments. If you are interested in voicing your concern and trying to save these structures, contact the Wilmette Historic Preservation Commission here and the Elgin Planning and Neighborhood Services Department here.
