The house, which is currently for sale, incorporates many of Wright’s signature features into its design: the hidden front door, bringing the outside inside using redwood, Lannon stone and large windows. Learn more after the jump...

This wonderful house with great character and Usonian charm has lots of built-in storage and cozy rooms on the main level. There is a Lannon stone fireplace just off the entryway, a jetted tub in the marble-tiled main bath down the hall, a covered patio just outside the dining room and a fountain in the back garden. The gourmet kitchen has Dacor double ovens and cooktop and an LG French-door refrigerator. The floors are maple and cherry. The lower level boasts one large unfinished area and plenty of finished space with either carpet or birch flooring in which play games, hang a large-screen TV, stash a ping-pong or pool table, exercise equipment, house a library and/or enjoy other activities. The list of improvements is lengthy and renovations were conducted in a manner sympathetic to the high quality of the original structure.

The gardens have been upgraded substantially in the last six years. Nearly 20 varieties of daylilies and many other kinds of plants were added.

Beautifully maintained and much loved and appreciated by its owners, it's a house that's aching to be loved by someone new. Someone needs to walk into the wood and stone entry and feel entirely at home. Someone needs to feel the ambience of the cherry beams, the gorgeous floors and the warmth of the layout and realize they simply cannot live anywhere else.

The house is located in the Best Suburb in Dane County, just steps from Main Street shops, restaurants and other Mount Horeb attractions, including the Military Ridge State Trail. It is close to schools and just a mile from Stewart Lake County Park.
