In city apartments, the long and narrow entryway is often the most overlooked space. Not so for Hamburg-based designer Irina Graewe, whose artistic hallway includes several details worth stealing. We've sourced the key elements of Graewe's styling in order to recreate the look in our own neglected hallways. See more of Graewe's Hamburg home on Design Sponge . Above: A bouquet of plum branches, spider chrysanthemums, and purple garlic blossoms on a table full of flea-market finds. Above: Stacked magazines serve as a side table; a collection of black and white Japanese lanterns provide illumination. Above: The Regolit Pendant Lamp Shade is $5 each from Ikea. Graewe used dark pencil to help define the frame of her Ikea rice paper lamps. She also added a spot of ribbon at the base of the lanterns similar to Dark Gray Raffia ; $12.50 for a 100-yard spool from Jam Paper and Envelope. Above: A quick black lantern fix is the Black Premium Paper Lantern for $7.95 from Luna Bazaar. Graewe sourced her now-black lanterns from Habitat: the Shiro Pendant Shade (£12) can be spray-painted black with Krylon's Semi-Flat Black Aerosol Paint ($3.77 from Amazon). Above: The stainless steel Grundtal Round Mirror is $29.99 from Ikea. Above: The Neon Yellow Big Baggu shopping tote is 18 inches wide and folds into a tiny pouch; $12 from Baggu. Above: For transforming antique furniture; Benjamin Moore's Natura Paint in Dark Royal Blue (shown) or Twilight is $23.99 per gallon. Above: We like German printmaker Sandra Thomsen's large graphic circle prints on Canson mi-teintes paper; the above Circle Screenprint is $40.74 from Etsy. Above: Source a vintage typewriter on Etsy , similar to this Vintage Royal Companion Typewriter for $100 from Good Bones Vintage on Etsy. Above: The Bjork Light Gray Rug by Design House Stockholm features a warp of cotton with a wool weft; $240 for the small 2.5-by-8-foot rug from Horne.
