Mark H. sends a link to a disturbing story in the Chicago Tribune about Republican Illinois Governor, Bruce Rauner's plan to eliminate the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency. That move could significantly impact state historic sites (including the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Dana House in Springfield, IL) and would hobble a program that bring in million of dollars of tourism money and has contributed to more than $1 billion in construction spending.
