Formerly an electronics factory, Trinity One is the first phase of a three-phase mixed-use development that nurtures small and medium businesses in the renewable sector. It is powered by a suite of rooftop photovoltaic panels and received a pre-construction BREEAM score of 88.7%.
Each of the three separate buildings has its own elevated roof garden and is aligned with the others via a series of shared spaces. Passive design and operable windows combined with central winter gardens promote energy conservation and natural ventilation, while a mix of studios and hybrid units promotes space management and efficiency. This project definitely sets the bar for a new standard of commercial design in the UK!
