Celebrate Mies' 127th birthday and his influence on Chicago 
Seventy-five years ago, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe arrived in the United States to lead the College of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology and profoundly influence the world’s taste and built environment. Today, the college begins another era of influence under the new dean of the College of Architecture, Wiel Arets. We invite you to celebrate his investiture as the Rowe Family College of Architecture Dean Endowed Chair alongside the celebration of Mies' 127th birthday.

Proceeds from ticket sales will go toward finishing the restoration of Carr Memorial Chapel, Mies' only ecclesiastical building. Complimentary entrance for College of Architecture students, faculty, and staff, but advance registration required.
